Renovate or rebuild that is the question, this property has approximately 1000m2 of level land with rural views and water glimpses of Hospital Bay.
The area is a quiet street set back from any main roads and all town services are available. The property is complete with a weatherboard home that requires extensive renovations to enable the home to be liveable. You may prefer to build a new home at the rear of the block or even strata units subject to council approval. The home was originally transported in two pieces to the land, the exterior of the home is in reasonable condition but requires some finishing and touch up on the paintwork. A timber deck is the entry to the home and takes you into the open plan kitchen and dining. Two bedrooms are down the hall, the master bedroom is large and has a lovely bay window that provides water glimpses of Hospital Bay. The bathroom and laundry have most fittings but again require work to finish connection to enable use. The lounge is spacious and sunny located at the front of the home, making it a great option to utilise as the master bedroom. Some interior walls have been removed but most of the framework is still in place, some sheets of plaster have been removed from the ceiling and there are good solid looking floorboards that may just need a sand and varnish. The wood heater is still in the property but is not currently installed. The property will be sold on a as is where is basis including all items that are onsite and the vendor is not providing any warranty as to the condition of the property. At the rear of the block is a shed with a concrete floor in one section and gravel in the other again the shed will require renovation. The block itself is reasonable level with a good aspect and a semi formed driveway and across the road from a lovely park and a short walk to the water at Port Huon. Port Huon is a thriving little community that has a lot to offer including a boat ramp, sport centre, good fishing locations, Kermandie Hotel and Sass restaurant all approximately 45 minutes to Hobart CBD.
